Thank you for a wonderful tour today! Francesca was so helpful in helping to get us transportation to our hotel at the airport. I had not realized that FMO airport was so far from Rome, and she came to our aid. We would have been lost without her!Unfortunately, my husband did not leave her a tip to acknowledge her special services and we both feel terrible about this. Excellent. We took a tour in Naples. Salvatore had such smiling and cheerful attitude. He said: I am flexible and will do anything to make you happy. Stop for photos, Sorrento, Amalfi coast. We cancelled Pompeii as we had done it before, he had no problem with us changing plans. All in all he added to the fun.Also took another private tour in Florence with Simona. She had a very smily and cheerful demeanor as well. Spoke limited English and could have helped show us some things rather than just drive. But still was very flexible and nice. Overall happy.
Cars were mercedes vans, but much older models, still comfortable. All in all worthwhile taking a trip with smart tours.

We are a group of 4 that just returned from a wonderful Med trip. Just email the owner Julie. She is just the greatest to work with. Their prices were fabulous but it was the tour guides and service that was 5 star all the way.We paid 30 euro per person for transfers from the Airport Hilton to Port of Rome in a private limo. We only paid 290 Euro TOTAL for a limo for 4 which was for 9 hours. Went to Pompeii (30 Euro per person) for a 2 hour private tour. The best with Patrizia as our guide. The only other cost was the best lunch (and view) at a small restaurant with our own private balcony. Prices were very reasonable.
Our guide Roberto took us to places that the big buses cannot go to. He made excellent suggestions, had a great sense of humour and made sure we were back to the boat with time to spare. Also he is one of the safest and most virtuous drivers we have had the pleasure to travel with. An important asset on the Amalfi coast. Just had to enjoy the beautiful views because he was always focused on safety firstl. My spouse has a bit of a fear of heights but after an hour on the coast she wanted the front seat. I suppose it could also have been for a better look at Roberto but I will assume it was for a better view of the landscape.
Our group has travelled extensively and we rate this the best tour we have ever had. Highly recommend this company.

Just a quick note before we head across the Atlantic on the Equinox. The Internet is not great so I will keep this short and write a more detailed report when I get home in December.First of all thank you so much for all your help. The transfer to Port of Rome from the airport hotel was great.
Our Pompeii and Amalfi Coast tour was the best among many great days.
Our driver Roberto was PERFECT. Knowledgeable, good sense of humour, excellent and patient driver. If we were rating him out of 10, he would be an 11.
My wife Carole has a slight fear of high mountain driving but was so confident in Roberto she wanted the front seat. Could also have been his charm I imagine.
At the last minute we decided to take a tour in Pompeii. Not a problem for Roberto. He seconded Patrizia for an excellent 2 hour tour for 30€ per person. Excellent value.
Roberto also adjusted our schedule to take us to interesting spots along the way. We had the best view for lunch and he always kept in mind our preferred return time to the ship.

We really enjoyed our Private Tour to Rome. I was concerned about taking this tour and not a ship's tour because of the distance involved form pier to city but no worries at all in the end. We were totally at ease. Our driver was completely aware of our schedule. We were back in plenty of time and so satisfied with what we had seen and experienced.
There were 6 of us and 5 had been to Rome before. Our driver knew that and arranged for us to see sites that were not on the "usual" Rome Tour. We were extremely pleased with that.
A highlight was seeing the Etruscan Tombs at Cerveteri. Thank you Alessandra for suggesting that. We would never had experienced this without your suggestion/assistance in planning.
I will have no problem recommending SCT to any and all who ask about Italy tours and in particular Rome.

Just arrived this morning. Off to a great start. Our pleasant driver, Simon, picked us 15 minutes early at the Hilton Airport. His van was clean, he was smartly dressed and loaded and unloaded our luggage. Five star all the way.Thanks again. I have posted in Cruise Critic, ports of call, Italy section.

I highly recommend this company for tours from Civitavecchia and Livorno. Julia and Alessandra are excellent are providing information and answering questions. We were lucky to have Alessandra as our tour leader to Cinque Terre, it was a nice experience to visit this beautiful area with her providing information and coordination. Highly recommend this company for any tours, including private excursions. We used them 3 times during Sept/Oct 2012 NCL Epic Western Mediterranean cruise, and their service is impeccable. We needed extreme flexibilty during Florence-Pisa tour, and got that and much more from our reservationist, Julia and driver, Simona. JuliaJust a quick note to say thank you for an excellent tour of Rome (the guided excursion by bus tour). It was great for us as a family of four as we saw all the main highlights, made best use of the time available and the cost very much represented value for money. I would highly recommend this tour.
